About

I am a Postdoctoral researcher in the Institute for Biological Data Science at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf exploring plant-microbe interactions and their contributions to plant fitness and health.

I have recently finished my PhD in the Institute of Environmental Biotechnology at the Graz University of Technology, where I focused on seed microbial community assembly, investigating the factors that drive microbiome composition and function.

I aim to understand how plant traits shape microbial communities. A key aspect of my work is linking microbial assembly patterns to plant health, with the broader goal of identifying beneficial microbes that could be harnessed for sustainable crop improvement.

I am also co-founder and organizing member of the Seed Microbiome Working Group (SMWG), a collaborative initiative for early-career scientists to exchange knowledge and advance seed microbiome research.
