About

I am a PhD candidate in the Institute of Environmental Biotechnology at the Graz University of Technology exploring how microbial interactions shape plant fitness and health.
My research focuses on seed microbial community assembly, investigating the factors that drive microbiome composition and function. I aim to understand how microbial inheritance, environmental influences, and host traits shape these communities.
A key aspect of my work is linking microbial assembly patterns to plant health, with the broader goal of identifying beneficial microbes that could be harnessed for sustainable crop improvement.
I am also co-founder and organizing member of the Seed Microbiome Working Group (SMWG), a collaborative initiative for early-career scientists to exchange knowledge and advance seed microbiome research.
